We are excited to welcome six new employees to the firm:
Tax Principal
Will joins the tax department with over 10 years of accounting experience specializing in construction and real estate tax for small, mid-size, and large businesses.
Will has extensive experience working with a variety of real estate development strategies including low-income housing tax credits, tax incremental funding, like-kind exchanges, and cost segregation.
As a tax principal, his responsibilities include tax consulting, compliance, and planning, as well as reviewing complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns for privately-held businesses and their owners.
Audit Associate
Mike joined Vrakas as a full-time employee in 2021 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. As an audit associate, he performs a wide variety of client services. His responsibilities include performing financial statement and employee benefit plan audits, as well as other assurance engagements for privately-held businesses.
Tax Associate
Matt joined Vrakas in 2021 after graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran College. Prior to joining the firm, Matt interned with Vrakas in the Spring of 2021. As a tax associate, he performs a wide variety of client services. His responsibilities include performing income tax preparation for privately-held businesses and their owners.
John R. Walker
Small Business Accounting Intern
John is currently studying at WCTC and will be interning with our small business accounting department through May 2022 while he works to finish his degree.
As an intern, he will learn and work on compilations, QuickBooks support, payroll, and bookkeeping.
