Tara Tomter

Tara began her career at Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 2023. As the firm’s Director of Talent, Tara’s responsibilities include being an advocate for candidates, a trusted advisor to the business, and an ambassador of the firm’s mission and values. Additionally, Tara manages the full lifecycle of the recruiting process, brands Vrakas as an employer of choice at various universities, proactively identifies and recruits qualified talent, and partners with practice leaders to forecast future recruiting goals.

Before joining Vrakas, Tara had been with a national public accounting firm for 17 years, holding various roles that included Human Resources and Recruiting. Of that, ten years were dedicated to campus recruitment, where she helped lead the campus team in executing recruitment strategy for 50+ universities spanning across 17 locations to successfully meet hiring needs.

Tara currently resides in Dane County with her husband and two boys. She is an active sports mom who also enjoys boating on the lake with her family.
