Tara Tomter

Tara began her career at Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 2023. As the firm’s Director of Talent, Tara advocates for candidates, serves as a trusted advisor to the business, and champions the firm’s mission and values. Additionally, Tara manages the full recruiting lifecycle, brands Vrakas as an employer of choice at various universities, proactively identifies and recruits qualified talent, and partners with practice leaders to forecast future recruiting goals.

Before joining Vrakas, Tara spent 17 years at a national public accounting firm, holding roles that included Human Resources and Recruiting. Of that, she spent ten years on campus recruitment, helping lead the campus team in executing recruitment strategy for 50+ universities across 17 locations to meet hiring needs.

Tara resides in DeForest, WI with her husband and two children. Outside the office, Tara enjoys boating on the lake with her family and watching her children play sports.
