John Staehler, CPA, CVA

John joined Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 1995. He is the Managing Director at our Kenosha Office and is part of the assurance and accounting department. John has notable experience working with clients in the construction industry in southeastern Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. He is a Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) member and regularly attends construction industry-specific training to stay current on the latest trends. He also has significant experience working with manufacturing, dealership, and service clients.

John specializes in helping privately held, for-profit businesses see beyond the numbers. As a key client advisor, he can evaluate a business from the inside out and provide recommendations for uncovering value within its internal processes and procedures. John takes a proactive approach to ensuring his clients maximize their potential for profitability.

Specifically, John seeks ways to help his clients achieve greater efficiency and streamline their operations. He has assisted with several corporate reorganizations and also provides monthly financial analysis and assistance with budgeting and reporting for growing companies.

John also has experience with various transaction advisory service projects, focusing primarily on businesses’ financial and tax aspects. He has led buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects, negotiated positions, and structured deals.

In addition, John provides valuation services for Vrakas Business Valuations, Inc. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), he maintains the most up-to-date information regarding valuation topics and performs following the highest standards of quality service.

John resides in Waterford with his wife. Outside of work, John enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
