Chris Balcerzak, CPA

Chris began working with Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 1998 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a principal in the audit department, he assists with scheduling, planning, and supervising engagements, including corporate audits, reviews, and employee benefit plan audits.

In addition, Chris is a member of our internship recruitment program, mentorship program, and benefit plan committees. He also previously coordinated our firm’s internal and external quality inspection review process.

Chris specializes in working with privately held S and C corp organizations with revenues ranging from $5 million to over $1 billion. He focuses on companies in the manufacturing, plastic injection molding, real estate, distribution, printing, advertising, construction, and engineering industries. Chris’s experience includes advising clients on pre- and post-tax cash flows, assisting owners and senior management with interpreting and applying the terms of various agreements (such as buy/sell arrangements, debt with equity options, supplier and employee incentives), and consulting on complex accounting issues and new standards. He has also assisted clients with improving internal controls based on feasibility and risk and developing monthly and annual budgets and forecasts.

As a trusted advisor, Chris enjoys helping companies develop effective strategic plans and realize the value of investing in personnel and infrastructure growth. He continually draws upon the knowledge and expertise gained from his years of experience at Vrakas to help his clients better achieve their goals. His experience includes working with owners, CFOs, and controllers from many companies in various industries.

Chris’s career success can be attributed to his ongoing pursuit of knowledge, continuing education courses, and belief that strong organizations are built on integrity and proper accounting practices.

Chris currently resides in Greenfield with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys waterskiing, fishing, and traveling.
