Brad Weckwerth, CPA

Brad joined Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 2002 as a staff accountant. He worked his way up through the years, becoming a member of the Shareholder group in 2015. He transitioned to President and Managing Shareholder in 2020.

Brad is responsible for the firm’s key strategic management and decision-making activities and continues to serve as an assurance and accounting department leader. Brad works primarily with privately held, for-profit companies, including private equity and ESOP-owned companies, across various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, leasing, professional services, dealerships, and retail.

Over the years, Brad has assisted clients during transition periods within their organizations, including temporarily assuming various roles within their financial and accounting departments and supporting newly hired financial managers, controllers, and CFOs.

Brad also has advisory services experience that includes a variety of transaction advisory service projects for private equity and corporate clients. He has experience leading buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects, providing sell-side support for investment bankers and their clients, and identifying working capital requirements.

In addition, Brad is the firm’s designated partner in the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center and is responsible for supervising more than 50 of the firm’s 140+ benefit plan audit clients.

Brad enjoys working with a wide range of clients and the unique opportunities each provides. He attributes his success to his strong work ethic, dedication to client needs, and responsibility for himself and his career. Brad resides in Fox Point, WI, with his wife and daughter.
