Play a Key Role in Strengthening Our Tax Operations
Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is seeking a Tax Operations Manager to join our Brookfield office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who enjoys improving processes, enhancing workflows, and supporting teams in delivering high-quality work. You’ll partner closely with tax leadership to strengthen how our tax department operates, driving efficiency, consistency, and a strong client service experience. Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Support day-to-day operations of the tax department, including workflow optimization, resource planning, and process support
- Assist in improving efficiency and productivity while maintaining high service standards
- Partner with tax leadership to support departmental goals and priorities
- Provide regular updates on workflow status, production metrics, and capacity
- Assist with billing support and operational coordination
- Help manage vendor relationships, including software contracts and renewals
Process & Workflow Management
- Identify inefficiencies in tax processes and recommend practical improvements
- Help streamline workflows to ensure timely completion and adherence to filing deadlines
- Support consistency and quality across teams and offices
- Maintain and monitor workflow tracking tools, deadlines, and deliverables
Technology & Systems Support
- Develop working knowledge of tax software and workflow tools
- Assist in evaluating and optimizing systems and processes
- Support the implementation and integration of new tools and technologies
- Contribute to process improvements through automation and innovation
Training & Support
- Assist in coordinating training plans for staff
- Help maintain a centralized tax training library and resources
- Support annual tax update training and ongoing learning initiatives
Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Support adherence to tax regulations and internal quality standards
- Assist in identifying operational risks and escalating concerns as needed
- Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in professional services, operations, project coordination, or a client-focused environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, HR, or related field
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing workflows, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Ability to collaborate with and support cross-functional teams and leadership
- Experience with workflow tools, operational systems, or project tracking systems preferred
- Process improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
