Responsibilities & Opportunities
- Prepare tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with tax planning and research projects to identify opportunities and ensure compliance and efficiency
- Develop strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of client services across diverse industries
- Collaborate regularly with shareholders, managers, and other internal leaders to deliver high-quality client work and strengthen team performance
- Engage regularly with clients to gather information, communicate results, and foster client relationships
- Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and CPE programs to stay current on tax laws, industry trends, and best practices
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and client service
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience providing tax services in public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must possess the necessary credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensure; CPA designation is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Experience with Microsoft 365 with a strong understanding of Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective in both independent work and team collaboration
- Ability to consistently perform services with integrity, reliability, and accuracy
- Demonstrates a strong passion for problem-solving across diverse areas of tax work

Vrakas CPAs + Advisors offers ambitious compensation potential, 401K, profit sharing, comprehensive insurance benefits, and competitive vacation and PTO policies. Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on their and the firm’s performance. The estimated salary range for this role is $63,000 to $89,000. Individual salaries are determined based on multiple factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
