Level 1 IT Support Technician

Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team of talented professionals.

This role involves providing technical assistance to our staff across four office locations, ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations. Responsibilities & Opportunities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance in person, over the phone, or via email
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Guides users through step-by-step solutions to resolve their technical issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support personnel with detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps taken
  • Maintain accurate records of events, problems, and their resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Follow up with employees to ensure their issues are resolved satisfactorily
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to the IT team
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring workstations are properly configured for new hires
  • Conduct basic technology training for new users
  • Document procedures and solutions clearly for inclusion in the firm’s knowledge base inventory

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; some college coursework in computer science or related fields is preferred
  • Basic knowledge and experience in troubleshooting PC hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and common office automation tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and explain technical concepts clearly
  • Customer-oriented mindset with patience to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Prior experience in an IT support role is a plus
  • Organizational skills to manage equipment, documents, and tasks effectively
  • Certifications such as A+ or MCP, are preferred but not required
  • Limited travel to all office locations
