At Vrakas, we believe in supporting local charities that give back to so many in our community. 
June through November, Vrakas holds charitable lunches that benefit local organizations. Each month, an assigned department hosts their charity lunch where they select a local charity to support and a local restaurant to cater the event. The firm covers food expenses, so all donations can go directly to their charity. In June & July alone, our amazing teams have raised over $900!
For the month of June, our Computer Consulting group hosted Portillo’s for lunch in support of the Fisher House in Milwaukee.
The Fisher House supports veterans and their families in times of medical need to help lessen the burden of travel expenses. The Fisher House strives to make veteran’s lives easier during the process of healing.

For the month of July, our Small Business Accounting department hosted Chipotle for lunch in support of Friends of Waukesha Public Library.
Friends of Waukesha Public Library is an organization dedicated to promoting literacy, community engagement, and growth of the overall library. Their goal is to enhance the library and its services to the Waukesha community.

For the month of August, the Tax department plans to host Glass Nickel Pizza Co. for lunch in support of Friedens Food Pantry’s Empty Bowls Fundraiser.
Located in downtown Milwaukee, Friedens Food Panty supports families in need through multiple events, including the Empty Bowls fundraiser. Empty Bowls aims to raise funds to provide food for families struggling to make ends meet.

For over 50 years, Vrakas has emphasized the need to give back to the community. The firm has done this not only through charity lunches, but also by participating in events, volunteering with area nonprofits and through memberships in various community organizations. Vrakas employees also support organization through our time commitment and involvement as board members. At Vrakas, we believe in helping those in need and we are committed to improving our community.
