Brian Kaker, CPA

Brian joined Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 2010 and is currently a principal in the firm’s tax department. Brian’s responsibilities include reviewing complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns and staying up-to-date on changing tax regulations. He primarily works with clients in manufacturing and distribution, professional service industries, and real estate. In addition, Brian oversees staff in the firm’s tax department and is responsible for maintaining working relationships with current clients.

Brian enjoys working with clients on strategic planning to minimize their tax liabilities. His experience includes successfully assisting clients in tax-free reorganizations, equity compensation planning, and maintaining welfare benefit plan filings. He attributes his success to strong interpersonal skills and a diverse background in tax compliance. Brian graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, receiving his Master’s degree in 2010 and Bachelor’s degree in 2009.

Brian grew up in Cedarburg and currently resides in Milwaukee. He enjoys living in the active downtown area and spending time with friends. In his free time, Brian races with the Project Echelon cycling team.
