John Staehler

John joined Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in 1995. He currently serves as Managing Director at our Kenosha Office and is part of the assurance and accounting department. John has notable experience working with clients in the construction industry in southeastern Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. John is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and regularly attends construction industry-specific training to stay up to date on the latest trends. He also has significant experience working with clients in the manufacturing, dealership and service industries.

John specializes in helping privately-held, for-profit businesses look behind the numbers. Serving as a key business advisor for his clients, he is able to evaluate a business from the inside out and provide recommendations for uncovering value within a company’s internal processes and procedures. John takes a proactive approach to ensure his clients are maximizing their potential for profitability.

Specifically, John searches for ways in which his clients can achieve greater efficiency and streamline their operations. He has assisted with several corporate reorganizations and also provides monthly financial analysis and assistance with budgeting and reporting for growing companies.

John also has experience working with a variety of transaction advisory service projects, with a primary focus on the financial and tax aspects of businesses. He has experience leading buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects, negotiating positions, and structuring deals.

In addition, John provides valuation services for Vrakas Business Valuations, Inc. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), he maintains the most up-to-date information regarding valuation topics and performs in accordance with the highest standards of quality service.

John was born and raised in Racine. He and his wife, Michelle, currently reside in Waterford.
