IT Desktop Support Specialist

Vrakas is looking for an IT Desktop Support Specialist to assist our employees with technology support and working alongside the firm’s outside IT consultants. The IT Desktop Support Specialist will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities 

IT Desktop Support Specialist duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Assist users with troubleshooting issues; hardware and software related
  • Contact software provider when appropriate
  • Work alongside outside IT firm
  • Maintain organization of network room
  • Set up new machines, add/remove users

Firm Software and Hardware

There are two networks within the firm. One is for the CPA side of the firm, which has approximately 65 users.
The other is for the computer-consulting group, which has approximately 10 users. The firm has two offices; one
located in Brookfield and one in Kenosha.

The firm has a hybrid network setup consisting of a cloud environment, as well as servers on site. All of our users
have the capability to work remote through a VPN to access programs and documents.

  • O365 for email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint hosted in the Microsoft cloud
  • CCH (Wolters Kluwer) Software hosted in the cloud:
    • Engagement

    • Practice Management

  • Dell Latitude 5501 laptops (approx. 70 machines)
  • Dell OptiPlex 7070 (6 machines)
  • Scanners, printers, multi-function machines
  • Servers: 6 (Dell)
  • VOIP system w/ Dell server
  • US Signal internet (last mile is Spectrum) for computers
  • AT&T for VOIP

Qualifications 

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology
